18 year old miner dies after being trapped in pit
Police are reporting that at around 18:00hrs yesterday Sunday May 29, 2016, miner Ramal Williams, 18 years, of 58 Miles, Mabura Road, was working in a mining pit at Konawaruk Backdam, Potaro, when it caved in and he was trapped beneath.
Williams was later taken out and transported to the Mahdia Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
Investigations are in progress.
