Jamaal Shabazz will go down as probably the most successful coach Guyana has ever had, but could the Trinidadian say goodbye for the final time after Guyana’s campaign in the CFU Caribbean Cup? That was a questioned asked to both Shabazz and President of the Guyana Football Federation (GFF) and while they did answer, they still didn’t say much. Booming with confidence, Guyana’s Golden Jaguars departed for Suriname this evening, where they will play the host nation at the Andre Kampervene Stadium on Saturday, when the third round of the CFU Caribbean Cup kicks off across the region. Prior to their departure, the team, led by Head Coach Jamaal Shabazz, held a press conference, where it was said that failure is not an option as they embark on their journey to next year’s CONCACAF Gold Cup.
It was not all smooth sailing for the ‘Green Machine’- Guyana national rugby team- at the Rugby Americas North Men 15s final against host Mexico last weekend.
