Vickery into Round of 64 at US Open
Sachia Vickery, the USA-based tennis player with Guyanese roots, has made it to the Round of 64 at the US Open, following her win over Russia’s Natalia Konstantinovna Vikhlyantseva on Monday.
The Russain won the opening set 6-4, but Vickery made a remarkable comeback winning the next two sets 6-4, 6-1 to close out the game.
In Vickery’s next game she is pitted against another Russian Sofia Kenin. The pair will clash on Wednesday (August 30).
