City Constable charged with rape of boy
Lance Corporal Clifton Pellew, who is attached to the City Constabulary, on Monday, February 05, appeared at the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court, charged with the rape of a 16-year-old boy.
Pellew appeared before Chief Magistrate Ann McLennan and was not required to plea to the indictable offence.
It is alleged that Pellew on August 15, 2017 engaged in sexual activity with a minor who was arrested for loitering and taken into custody at the city Outpost.
It is alleged that while the teen was in custody, he was ordered by Pellew to perform oral sex on him.
The City Constabulary officer was remanded to prison until February 14, 2018.
