Cocaine in frozen fish at CJIA, 7 in custody

Seven persons are in custody following the discovery of cocaine concealed in party frozen fish scheduled for export to the United States of America.

The bust was made at the Cheddi Jagan International Airport (CJIA) on Tuesday evening, February 6, 2018, by ranks of the Customs Anti-Narcotics Unit (CANU).

A brief statement from CANU revealed that the shipping company currently being investigated allegedly hails from the West Bank of Demerara.

CANU promised to disclose more information on Wednesday.
