Prisoner escapes Suddie lock-ups
An investigation has been launched into the circumstances surrounding the escape of a prisoner from the lock-ups at the Suddie Police Station on the Essequibo Coast.
According to the police, Leon Price, 24, of Onderneeming Sand Pit, Essequibo Coast escaped between 04:00hrs-05:15hrs on Wednesday morning.
He was remanded to prison on a charge of simple larceny and three other offences and was required to make another court appearance at the Suddie Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday.
Police are making stringent efforts to recapture the remanded prisoner.
