Police Constable charged with rape
A 23-year-old Constable attached to the Guyana Police Force was today charged with rape.
Mark Otto appeared before Magistrate Sherdel Isaacs-Marcus at the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court where the matter was held in camera.
The charge alleged that during the month of May 2017, he engaged in sexual penetration with a child under the age of 16.
He was remanded to prison until March 28.
