Heavy winds rattle Essequibo, several buildings destroyed
The entire Region 2 community is said to be without power after heavy winds damaged several buildings this morning at around 10:10hrs in Lima, Essequibo.
Residents recalled seeing wood and zinc ripped off of houses and the destruction of power lines.
Six houses, including a church, were seriously damaged and one person is said to be injured.
