VIDEO: Taxi driver critical after slamming into truck
A taxi driver is in a critical condition after he crashed into a truck on the Mocha Access Road, East Bank Demerara, Friday morning.

News Room understands that the taxi driver, who was in motorcar HC 3999, was heading west when he lost control of his car and skated onto the path of the truck, which was travelling in the opposite direction.
Eyewitnesses said the taxi driver was speeding and swerved from his lane to avoid colliding with a parked car on the southern roadside.
In so doing, he lost control of the car and crashed into the truck, GVV 8446, which was travelling along the northern carriage.
The truck driver sustained no injuries but the taxi driver suffered a broken leg and other bruises about his body.
The taxi driver, who was only identified as ‘Benjie’ – the owner of a popular taxi service – is seeking medical attention.
