Female Security Guard killed in hit and run
A Haslington, East Coast Demerara (ECD) woman was on Tuesday evening killed in an accident on the Turkeyen, Greater Georgetown public road.
According to information received, 60-year-old Mona London, a Security Guard employed with the Massy Group was attempting to cross the road from south to north when a dark coloured motor pickup slammed into her.
The pickup, which was allegedly speeding, fled from the scene.
London was picked up in an unconscious state and taken to the Georgetown Public Hospital where she was pronounced dead on arrival.
