Decomposed body of man found in trench
The body of a 64-year-old man identified as Vernon Jackson of Friendship, East Bank Demerara, was found in a trench in close proximity to his residence on Monday.
The badly decomposed remains were discovered by passersby.
According to information received, the man was last seen alive by his cousin Marilyn King who also resides at Friendship, at about 12:00hrs on Friday, July 27, 2018, when he visited her home.
The body was taken to the Lyken Funeral Parlour awaiting a post-mortem.
