President Wayne Forde presents balls to Frankie Wilson in the presence of GFF's Bryan Joseph and TDO Devnon Winter

The Guyana Football Federation (GFF) has presented footballs to three Member Associations as a lead up to the national roll out of the GFF’s Kool Kidz Grassroots programme, scheduled for Saturday (November 3).

The presentation of 25 footballs to each Association was made by President Wayne Forde on October 25, to Technical Development Officers of the East Bank Demerara, East Demerara and West Demerara Football Associations.

The balls were given to aid the execution of the national grassroots programme, which seeks to, among other things, expand the player population of children in the 6-12 years age group across Guyana.

Presentation of similar equipment will be done to each Member Association later in the week. The programme, done in partnership with the Guyana Beverages Inc., is scheduled to be held every Saturday in each of the nine Member Associations and will feature fun football activities to effectively introduce children to the sport.

The GFF’s Kool Kidz Grassroots programme has evolved from the GFF’s Kool Kidz Sunday, an initiative held in Georgetown and which attracted a large number of participants.
