Two drivers were taken into Police custody following the death of a 16-year-old boy who was flung from the tray of a pick-up during an accident on the 58 Miles Mabura Public Road on Friday, December 14.

Dead is Clay Skybar of Lot 111 Mile Mahdia.

Police reported that the teenager was in the back of pick – up GTT 2531 when the driver negotiated a bend at a fast rate of speed and crashed into the right side front of a lorry and trailer which was heading in the opposite direction.

As a result, the young man was tossed out of the vehicle; he was picked up in an unconscious state and rushed to the McKenzie Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
