Mash Day raid of prisons rakes in prohibited items
A joint search of all of the country’s prisons on Mashramani Day Saturday unearthed several prohibited items.
More than 200 ranks were involved in the exercise.
The Police listed the items as:
-Cellular phones
-Phone chargers
– Cigarette lighters
– A quantity of cannabis
-Cellphone batteries
-A quantity of razor blades
-Metal spoons and forks
-Nails clips
-Construction nails
– Smoking utensils
– Improvised weapons
-Playing cards
-Sand paper
-Broken mirrors
-Copper wires
-Scissors
-Tobacco leaves
-Earpiece
