The third ODI between West Indies and England was abandoned without a ball being bowled in Grenada on Monday. With the series locked 1-1, an exciting contest was forecast as the two teams hunt for a series lead.

However, the players were kept indoors all day, save and expect for the usual warm-up and the toss, which England won and elected to field.

Persistent rainfall, which had the groundstaff busy all day, forced an abandonment at 14:39h. Match four of the series is on Wednesday, also in Grenada.

England won the first match, topping a record chase of 361, before West Indies rebounded to level the series with a 26-run victory. Both games were played at Kensington Oval, Barbados.
