Rancher killed by farmer in South Rupununi
Police have arrested a 50-year-old farmer who allegedly killed a 32-year-old rancher at around 22:00hrs Monday night at Karaudanawa Village, South Rupununi.
Police Headquarters in a statement noted that investigations so far revealed that the suspect saw his spouse in the company of Pius Ernest at a location in the village.
It is alleged that the farmer armed himself with a bow and arrow and fatally shot Ernest in the upper part of his body.
The suspect has since been arrested and is assisting with the investigation.
