Police, Prison Service seize illegal items from Mazaruni Prison
Ranks of the Guyana Police Force and Prison Service on Wednesday conducted a routine search of the Mazaruni Prison.
Police reported that the following items were found:
- 3 sim cards
- 10 cell phones
- 59 packs of cigarette
- 6 pairs of scissors
- 11 improvised weapons
- 8 lighters
- 2 smoking utensils
- 8 chargers
- 8 pieces of broken mirrors
- A quantity of bamboo and fronto
- 1404 grams of cannabis.
