Essequibo youth dies after losing control of motorcycle

An Essequibo youth died early on Sunday after he reportedly lost control of the motorcycle he was riding and fell on the roadway.

Dead is 20-year-old Navindra Balader.

Police said the accident occurred at around 03:00 h on the Cotton Field Public Road, Essequibo Coast.

Investigations revealed that Balader was riding motorcycle CF 4897 north along the western lane of the road, allegedly at a fast rate of speed, when he lost control and fell on the roadway receiving injuries to his head and body. 

He was rushed to the Suddie Public Hospital in an unconscious state where he was admitted a patient, treated and later succumbed to his injuries at 16:30hrs Sunday.
