After the entire first day was washed out at the Emirates Old Trafford, West Indies got some on-field action on Tuesday in their final warm-up game ahead of the first Test against England.

On day two of the four-day, intra-squad contest, Jason Holder’s XI batting against Kraigg Brathwaite’s XI reached 120-5 when bad light stopped play on another rain-affected day.

Only 34 overs were possible.

During that time, wicketkeeper/batsman Joshua DaSilva, who is on the reserve list of 11 players, coasted to 60 not out, while another reserve Sunil Ambris made 25.

Bowling for Brathwaite’s XI, Chemar Holder, who is in the Test squad, took 2-15 and reserve Anderson Philip 1-9.

The West Indies are preparing to face England in three Test matches at bio-secure venues behind closed doors, with the first game starting July 8 at Ageas Bowl.

West Indies are holders of the Wisden Trophy, the symbol of supremacy between the two sides.
