Second construction worker dies in Banks DIH building collapse
One week after a Banks DIH Building collapsed on him at Ruimveldt Industrial Site, Anthony Lowe, a construction worker succumbed to his injuries at the Georgetown Public Hospital Thursday at about 08:30h.
The News Room was reliably informed that Lowe of Mocha, East Bank Demerara, never regained consciousness after suffering severe injuries to his brain and lungs.
He leaves to mourn his wife who is six month pregnant. He is the second construction worker to have died in the incident.
At the time, they were sitting under the building when it came crashing down on them killing 61-year-old Jagmohan Bissessar of Parfaite Harmonie, West Bank Demerara.
