17 arrested at ‘Khan’s Hideout Bar’ in Montrose
Police on Tuesday afternoon arrested 17 persons for breaching the COVID-19 orders; they were found at Khan’s Hideout Bar located at lot 100 Second Street Montrose East Coast Demerara.
Police Headquarters revealed that ranks from Regional Division 4 ‘C’ led by a Senior Officer acted on information between 17:15h and 17:45h and conducted an operation at the bar where they found the persons imbibing in alcohol.
As Guyana continues to battle the rapid increase in COVID-19 cases, bars have been ordered to remain closed since March.
