Elderly patients die from COVID-19; death toll now at 80
Guyana on Tuesday recorded two more COVID-19 deaths taking the overall death toll to 80.
The Ministry of Health reported that the latest fatalities are a 77 -year-old male and a 67 year- old woman – both from Region 4.
They both died while receiving care at a medical facility.
Guyana recorded its last two COVID-19 deaths on Sunday last.
September has been recorded the deadliest month for COVID-19 in Guyana with 39 deaths for the month so far.
