14-Y-O cyclist critical in hit and run accident
A 14-year-old pedal cyclist is in a stable but critical condition at the Georgetown Public Hospital after he was struck down on the Annandale Public Road, East Coast Demerara Saturday night. Police said at about 23:45h an unknown vehicle hit the teen from behind and sped away. The teen was riding along the inner lane of the road with a friend when the accident occurred.
The teen was picked up in an unconscious state and taken to the hospital where doctors found his skull was fractured.
Police investigations are ongoing.
