79 COVID-19 cases from 304 tests
The Ministry of Health on Thursday recorded 79 new COVID-19 cases from 304 tests, taking the overall number of confirmed cases to 5, 528.
Thirty –four of the new cases were recorded in Region Four and 20 were recorded in Region Seven. Region Ten recorded 11 new cases while Region Nine recorded five cases, Regions One and Six each recorded one new case and Region Three recorded three cases.
There are 710 patients in home isolation, 43 in institutional isolation and four patients in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit at the Infectious Disease Hospital at Liliendaal.
An additional 31 persons who came into contact with positive patients are in institutional quarantine. To date, 151 persons have died and 4, 618 have recovered.
