The Ministry of Health (MOH) has announced Guyana’s 175th COVID-19 death – a 65-year-old male from Region Five (Mahaica-Berbice).

A statement from the ministry noted that the man died while receiving care at a medical facility. This death represents the 11th person to have died from the virus for this month thus far.

Two other deaths were also recorded on Tuesday.

  • the need for correct and consistent use of a face mask when leaving your home;

  • and the need for good hand-hygiene to help reduce the spread of COVID-19.
