Another COVID death takes toll to 178

Another person died from the dreaded COVID-19 virus on Wednesday, taking Guyana’s death toll to 178 since the disease hit these shores in March 2020.

The latest fatality is a 54-year-old male from Region Four (Demerara-Mahaica) who died while receiving care at a medical facility.

This is the first victim to succumb to the disease for the month of February; 13 persons died in January.
