Seven new COVID cases recorded from 259 tests

A total of seven new COVID-19 cases were recorded on Monday from 259 tests, taking Guyana’s overall number of confirmed cases to 8,814.

Only two regions recorded new cases. Region Four recorded five cases with Region Five rounding out the total with two cases.

To date, 8,171 persons have recovered with Guyana’s total number of deaths standing at 203.

There are 389 patients in home isolation, 43 patients are in institutional isolation and eight patients are in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit at the Infectious Disease Hospital.
