Inmate escapes Lusignan Prison by jumping fence
The Guyana Prison Service and Guyana Police Force are on the hunt for a prisoner who escaped from the Lusignan Prison, East Coast of Demerara Wednesday morning.
Police in a statement said 45-year-old Taje Singh jumped the southern prison fence and escaped into a clump of bushes at about 07:10h.
Singh of Lot 81 Zeelugt North, West Coast Demerara, was serving a sentence for unlawful wounding and larceny of a water pump.
