Body of boy, 15, recovered at Ondeerneeming beach
The body of 15-year-old Adyemi Azeez, who drowned on Thursday last during an outing with friends at the Onderneeming beach was discovered early Saturday morning.
Reports state that his body resurfaced in the vicinity where he met his demise.
Azeez, who was a student of the Abram Zuil Secondary School on the Essequibo Coast, had on Thursday ventured to the beach for a swim.
Azeez and three friends reportedly went into the water, where the friends said was “pulling heavy.”
Scared for their safety, Azeez and his friends began screaming for help and other students nearby rushed to assist them.
However, Azeez reportedly went under and did not resurface.
