Three years jail for Linden nurse who admitted to luring child
A 32-year-old Registered Nurse was on Thursday sentenced to three years imprisonment after he pleaded guilty to a charge of child luring.
Police said that Yohan London of Section ‘C’ Christianburg, Wismar, Linden was arrested on Thursday morning at around 10:58hrs and charged; the incident occurred last month.
He appeared at the Linden Magistrate’s Court via Zoom before Magistrate Wonda Fortune where the charge of child luring contrary to Section 15 (4) (a) of the Cybercrime Act No. 16 of 2018 was read to him.
After entering a guilty plea, he was sentenced to three years imprisonment.
