14 patients in COVID ICU; another 11 new infections

There are 14 severely ill patients in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit (ICU), who are being treated after they were infected with the SARS-CoV-2 virus that causes the disease, COVID-19.

This is according to the Ministry of Health’s COVID-19 dashboard for July 5, 2021.

According to the dashboard another 11 people were infected with the virus over a 24-hour period. This means that there have been 20,389 confirmed cases of COVID-19 since March, 2020.

These cases were recorded in Region Two (two cases), Region Four (four cases), Region Six (four cases) and Region 10 (one case).

Meanwhile, there are 1,558 active cases currently. In addition to the patients in the ICU, these active cases are drawn from 94 people in institutional isolation, 1,449 in home isolation and one person in institutional isolation.

Importantly, another 50 people have recovered after they were infected with COVID-19.
