Mahaicony man, 51, dies after struck down by car
A 51-year-old Fairfield, Mahaicony, East Coast Demerara, man has died one day after being struck down by a motorcar on the Fairfield Public Road. Dead is Deosaran Moonilall.
Police Headquarters reported that the accident occurred at about 17:59hrs on Saturday.
According to the police report, the car PTT 9481 was proceeding west along the southern side of the road; Moonilall was crossing the road at the same time when the car collided with him.
Police said he received injuries about the head and body; he was taken to the Mahaicony Public Hospital in an unconscious condition.
Moonilall was subsequently transferred to the Georgetown Public Hospital.
Police investigations are ongoing.
