Greater travel between Guyana, Netherlands possible as agreement inked

An Air Service Agreement has been signed between Guyana and the Netherlands, paving the way for increased air travel and the transportation of goods.

This agreement was signed on Wednesday by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Hugh Todd and the Non- Resident Ambassador of Netherlands to Guyana Henk Ary Christian van der Zwan.

According to the ministry, the agreement will pave the way for the operation of air services between and beyond Guyana and the Netherlands.

The Foreign Affairs Ministry also stated that countries are parties to the Convention on International Civil Aviation, as such the signing of the agreement contributes to the development of international air transport services and progress in international civil aviation.
