Over 90% of self-employed persons did not file tax returns last year

A report by the Auditor General has found that over 90% of self-employed persons did not submit a tax return last year.
Last year, 102,741, which is approximately 91.17% of the 112,691 registrants, did not file their returns.
It means that only 9,950 or a mere 8.83% filed Returns, reflecting $5.024 billion.
It has been reported for years that self-employed persons continue to be delinquent in filing their Income Tax Returns.
