Upper Pomeroon man, 23, killed in boat accident
A 23-year-old young man from Jacklow, Upper Pomeroon River tragically lost his life Tuesday night in a freak boat accident. Dead is Chive Persaud called Boyo and Putagee.
The News Room understands that Persaud had traveled to Port Kaituma and was sitting at the back of the boat when somehow he was hit by the propeller of the engine.
He was taken to the Mabaruma Regional Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
Persaud was the only son for his parents. Relatives and friends have taken to social media to mourn his tragic passing.
