Man remanded for alleged rape of child
A 39-year-old man was on Wednesday remanded to prison by Chief Magistrate Ann McLennan for allegedly raping a child during a fishing trip in 2020.
Veroy Isaacs of Kamarang, Region Seven was arraigned at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court; he was not required to plead to the charge which alleged that between January 1 and December 31, 2020, he engaged in sexual penetration with a girl who is under the age of 16.
Isaacs was remanded to prison until March 14, 2022.
