Another 15 people infected with COVID-19; three in ICU

Another 15 individuals – eight men and seven women – are infected with the novel coronavirus, taking Guyana’s overall confirmed cases since March 11, 2020 to 63,055.

Importantly, though, no additional deaths were recorded. As such, the overall death toll remained at 1,223.

The new infections were recorded from: Region Three (four cases), Region Four (seven cases), Region Five (two cases) and Region Six (two cases).

There are also three patients receiving critical care in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit (ICU), 18 people are in institutional isolation, nine people are in institutional quarantine and 300 people are in home isolation.

Importantly, a total of 61,511 persons have recovered after they were infected with the disease.
