Girl, 19, busted with 38 pounds of ganja
A 19-year-old female marketing clerk of Perry Street, Tucville, Georgetown was busted with 38 pounds (17.1 kg) of marijuana on Saturday morning.
Police Headquarters reported that ranks from the Police Narcotics Branch, Criminal Investigation Department (CID) went to the teenager’s house and conducted a search.
“The detectives found two brown boxes under her bed containing several rectangular brown duct tape parcels which when opened in her presence contained a quantity of leaves, seeds and stems suspected to be cannabis sativa,” Police Headquarters reported.
The teenager was told of the offence committed and arrested.
