11 new COVID cases from 1, 405 tests

Guyana on Wednesday reported 11 new COVID-19 cases from 1, 405 tests within 24-hours.

The new cases were recorded in Region Four (eight cases) and Region Six (three cases).

The total number of confirmed cases since March 11, 2020, has now increased to 63, 294. Importantly, no additional deaths were recorded. As such, the overall death toll remained at 1,226.

There are five patients receiving critical care in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit (ICU).

Additionally, nine persons are in institutional isolation, 15 persons are in institutional quarantine and 68 people are in home isolation.

Thus far, a total of 61,976 persons have recovered.
