31 new COVID cases from 992 tests

Another 31 individuals were infected with the novel coronavirus over a 24-hour period, after 992 tests were done, the Ministry of Health reported in its daily COVID-19 dashboard on Saturday.

The new cases were all recorded in: Region One (one case), Region Two (two cases), Region Three (one case), Region Four (11 cases), Region Five (one case), Region Six (14 cases) and Region 10 (one case).

The total number of confirmed cases since March 11, 2020, has now increased to 63,570. Importantly, though, no additional deaths were recorded. As such, the overall death toll remained at 1,228.

Notably, no patient is receiving critical care in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit (ICU). There is only one person in institutional isolation and 124 people in home isolation. Two individuals are in institutional quarantine.

With seven new recoveries, the total number of people recovered after they were infected increased to 62,217.,
