Georgetown woman busted with 3 pounds of ganja
Police have arrested a 54-year-old woman of West La Penitence, Georgetown after she was reportedly caught with 1, 416 grammes (3.1 pounds) of marijuana.
The woman, who is a vendor, was an incoming passenger to Bartica in Region Seven, Police Headquarters reported.
At about 08:50hrs on Thursday, a party of policemen conducted a search at the Bartica Stelling and discovered the drugs in the woman’s traveling bag.
“She was told of the offence committed, cautioned, arrested and she admitted ownership,” the police stated.
