Medical student robbed at knife-point in Alberttown

A medical student who resides at East Street, Georgetown was held at knifepoint and robbed of cash and his cell phone on Wednesday.
Police Headquarters said in a statement that Siva Prakash, 22, was robbed at Fifth Street Alberttown, Georgetown around 21:30 hrs.
Two men, one of whom was armed with a knife, approached the man while he was walking. The robbers were on a motorcycle (registration number unknown), stopping behind the man before the ambush.
Both men dismounted the motorcycle and the armed suspect robbed Prakash of $200,000 in cash and a Redmi Note 10 Cellular phone valued at $75,000.
The two robbers then made good their escape by riding off on the motorcycle.
The police said Prakash was not injured.
