80 new COVID infections, five in ICU

A total of 80 persons tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 24 hours after 459 tests were conducted.

The Health Ministry on Thursday reported that the new cases were recorded in Region One (one cases), Region Two (four cases), Region Three (two cases), Region Four (43 cases), Region Five (two cases), Region Six (11 case), Region Nine (12 cases), and Region Ten (five cases).

There are five patients in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit (ICU), 32 patients are in institutional isolation and 866 patients are in home isolation.

To date, 67,081 people have recovered while the total number of deaths from the pandemic since March 2020 stands at1, 268.
