12 new COVID cases

Some 12 more persons are now infected with COVID-19, according to the Ministry of Health’s daily COVID-19 dashboard issued on Tuesday.

With these new cases, infections recorded in Guyana since March 2020 have increased to 69,846.

The new cases were recorded after 178 tests were conducted with cases confirmed in Region Two (one case), Region Three (three cases), Region Four (seven cases) and Region Ten (one case).

Meanwhile, there is one patient in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit (ICU), 22 patients are in institutional isolation and 587 patients are in home isolation.

To date, 67,965 people have recovered.
