Seven new COVID infections, one in ICU

Seven more persons were infected with COVID-19, the Ministry of Health reported on Monday.

With these new cases, infections recorded in Guyana since March 2020 have increased to 70,159.

The new cases were recorded in Region Two (one case), Region Four (three cases), and Region Six (three cases).

Meanwhile, there is one patient in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit (ICU), 13 patients in institutional isolation and 442 patients in home isolation.

To date, 68, 431 people have recovered and 1,272 deaths have been recorded to date.
