CANU finds over 11lbs of ganja hidden in bushes at Canje
Ranks of the Customs Anti Narcotic Unit (CANU) found over 11 pounds of marijuana hidden in bushes at Sheet Anchor, East Canje Berbice on Sunday.
While no one was arrested, the marijuana was confiscated by CANU.
In a statement, the Unit said its officers were conducting an operation in the community when a search of a yard with a wooden building and neighboring bushes resulted in the discovery.
The narcotic was taken to CANU’s Headquarters and it tested positive for cannabis and weighed approximately 5.4 kg.
