Labourer, 30, gets $300,000 bail on armed robbery charge
A 30-year-old labourer of La Penitence, Georgetown, was on Monday granted bail after he denied robbing a man at Plaisance market, East Coast Demerara.
According to the police, Raphael Hintzen, who was accused of robbing a man back in July, was arrested on September 2, 2022.
He was later arraigned at the Sparendaam Magistrate Court where Magistrate Rushelle Liverpool read the charge to him.
Hintzen denied that on July 17, 2022, while armed with a weapon, he robbed Deodat Dhansam, of West Coast Demerara.
Magistrate Liverpool granted him bail in the sum of $300,000 and the matter was adjourned to 7th October, 2022.
