One new COVID case

Only one new COVID-19 case has been recorded over the past 24 hours, based on information provided by the Ministry of Health’s daily COVID-19 dashboard.

This case was recorded in Region Four (Demerara- Mahaica) after a total of 128 tests were done. Now, a total of 71,3498 cases have been recorded in Guyana since March 2020.

Importantly, there are no patients in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at the Infectious Diseases Hospital but there are four persons in institutional isolation, 63 persons in home isolation and two people in institutional quarantine.

Thus far, 70,001 patients have recovered from the virus but 1,281 people died.
