Man, 42, is latest COVID death; 8 new cases recorded
A 42-year-old man from Region Six (East Berbice – Corentyne) is Guyana’s latest COVID-19 death. The Ministry of Health reported on Saturday that the patient died on Friday. This latest death takes the total number of deaths recorded since March 2020 to 1, 285.
Meanwhile, eight new cases were recorded after 57 tests, taking the overall number of 71, 573.
The new cases were recorded in Region Four (five cases), Region Six (one case) and Region Nine (two cases).
To date, 70, 172 have recovered.
