Four more COVID infections recorded

Another four people tested positive for COVID-19 over the past 24 hours after 40 tests were conducted, the Ministry of Health reported on Monday.

The infected persons are from Region Three (one case) and Region Four (three cases).

With these new cases, a total of 71,654 cases have been recorded in Guyana since March 2020.

Meanwhile, there are no patients in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit (ICU) but there are eight persons in institutional isolation and 132 persons in home isolation.

To date, 70, 229 persons have recovered after they were diagnosed with the disease while 1, 285 have died.
